Radio Voodoo

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Last night was my first interview for my new book, Everyday Voodoo. Dwayne and Sarah Claud with Anomalies Paranormal invited me onto their weekly show Anomalies. In case you missed it, you can listen to the poscast here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/anomalies.

I get shy in front of an audience, but I love talking on the radio. In this case, I was talking for almost an hour! Dwayne and Sarah asked great questions and really kept things moving along, so a huge thank you to them for having me on and for making the show so enjoyable. Also, thanks to the listeners who popped into the chat room to ask questions.

In addition to the website for their radio show, Anomalies has a home at http://anomaliesparanormal.com. Thanks for tuning in!

Snowpocalypse 2, Electric Boogaloo

Friday, February 12th, 2010

Atlanta usually gets one snow a year, during which time there is a run on grocery stores for bread and milk, school is canceled and everyone hides inside. It doesn’t matter if it’s two inches of snow or two snowflakes, the city goes into shutdown mode. We had our annual snow in January, a light covering that lingered for a week.

And then today it started snowing again. Judging by the accumulation on the grill out back, I’d guess we have gotten about four inches. It’s the most snow I’ve seen in the downtown area since I moved here. Here are a few pictures of Snowpocalypse 2, Electric Boogaloo (as opposed to the cheesy 1980s break-dancing movie, Breakin’ 2, Electric Boogaloo):
